Notts County FC have taken the controversial decision to remove Martin Allen from his position as manager after less than 12 months in the role.
The decision was made after Saturdays 3-0 defeat at Hartlepool.
Obviously two wins from the last 11 league games were deemed not good enough. However, another way to look at that stat is that the Magpies were unbeaten in four matches before the weekend, drawing two and winning two.
The fans seemed to have taken to Allen and are disappointed by this latest move by the club, their disappointment is understandable when you consider Allen’s record while in charge.
Allen was appointed in April 2011 and avoided relegation last season by three points, winning eight points from the last seven games. He leaves them 11th in the League One table with 40 points, eight points adrift of the play-off places.
